Day Trip Details
Participants will meet at the scheduled time at the terrace of the Hotel Excelsior Galia. A train will take us through Lombardy to the City of Canals.
Upon arrival, we will walk through the historic centre of Venice, seeing highlights such as St. Mark's Square, the Basilica, and the Bridge of Sighs. Brief explanations about the history of these landmarks will be provided as we explore the streets and canals of this northern Italian city.
After the walking tour, there will be free time to explore Venice at your leisure. Once the group has reconvened, we will proceed to Verona, the city where Romeo and Juliet is set.
We will walk along the banks of the Adige River and cross Scaligero Bridge to view the Castellvechio, a medieval fortress from Verona's Golden Age.
In the early afternoon, we will return to Milan by train, concluding our trip after approximately 13.5 hours together.
