Battered by the Ligurian Sea are five villages full of colour and charm. Discover them on this excursion to Cinque Terre, a day where you fall in love.
Itinerary
The tour starts early with a bus journey to Liguria, exploring the stunning landscapes of Cinque Terre — a combination of five towns atop cliffs surrounded by vineyards and hills. We arrive at Manarola, the oldest town, home to fishermen and wine producers. We then take a train to Riomaggiore, an 18th-century town with 1,500 inhabitants.
Next, we take a boat to Monterosso, where we will spend two hours exploring its streets and largest beaches. Here, you can choose to have lunch before taking a train to Vernazza, a delightful fishing village with a natural port. The day concludes with a train to La Spezia, where a coach will return us to Montecatini.
Lunch in Monterosso
In Monterosso, you may either dine at a local restaurant or select the lunch option when booking. The menu includes seafood salad, pasta with pesto, dessert, and water or wine. Guests preferring a vegetarian option should note this when reserving.
Self-Guided Cinque Terre Tour
A self-guided excursion is available for those wishing to explore at their own pace. This option includes a bus trip to Manarola, allowing the entire day to tour Cinque Terre independently. Transport between towns is not included, and you will need to meet the escort at the designated pickup point in La Spezia for the return to Montecatini.
Important Information
This excursion will not include the famous Via dell’Amore, as the trail is closed until 2023. Nevertheless, the beauty of the Italian coast is still fully accessible. The boat tour operates only until October and is subject to weather conditions; if unavailable, the itinerary will proceed by bus and train.
