If you're in Palermo and want to explore two of the most beautiful places in Sicily, don't miss this day trip to Erice and Marsala.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at via Volturno 44 in Palermo and board the vehicle to Erice and Marsala.
The first stop will be the medieval village of Erice. Here, we'll stroll through its cobbled streets and enjoy views. From the hilltop, we can see the Egadi Islands and the city of Trapani.
Sicilian cuisine is notable; we'll taste a Sicilian granita, a traditional sorbet.
Next, we'll head to Marsala, known for its sweets wine and salt pans. The route offers scenic views of windmills and active salt basins along the 30-kilometre stretch.
In Marsala, we'll have time for a typical Sicilian lunch and wine tasting, including olive oil sampling.
After 9 hours, we'll return to Palermo.
