If you're in Palermo and want to explore two beautiful places in Sicily, don't miss this day trip to Erice and Marsala.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at via Volturno 44 in Palermo and board the vehicle for an adventure to Erice and Marsala.
The first stop will be the medieval village of Erice. We will stroll through its cobbled streets and enjoy views from its hilltop location, including vistas of the Egadi Islands and the city of Trapani.
We will take a moment to sample a Sicilian granita, a type of sorbet typical of the island.
Afterwards, we will continue to Marsala, known for its sweet wine and salt pans. Driving through this stunning landscape, you can admire the windmills and salt basins still in use today. The 30-kilometre (18-mile) route is considered one of the most scenic in Italy.
While in Marsala, we will enjoy a typical Sicilian lunch and participate in a wine tasting. We will also have the opportunity to taste olive oil, a celebrated local product.
After 9 hours, we will return to Palermo. See you next time!
