Guided Exploration of Porto Alegre

Our journey begins at 9:30 am at Praça XV de Novembro, where we will embark on a walking tour through the historic district of Porto Alegre. Throughout this tour, we will uncover the intriguing history of Rio Grande do Sul's capital while visiting some of its most iconic sites.

Prior to diving into the city's pathways, we'll take a moment to admire the kiosk located within the square, recognized as one of the oldest structures in Porto Alegre. This heritage-protected building, constructed in 1885, holds various historical functions and has undergone numerous renovations throughout its lifetime.

Our next stop will be the public market, where we will immerse ourselves in the daily hustle and bustle of Porto Alegre. Here, within a structure that dates back to the 19th century, you will encounter numerous traditional stalls and an assortment of Brazilian products.

As we continue our guided journey, we'll appreciate the façade of the Municipal Palace, one of the city's key monuments. Close by lies the Esquina Democrática (Democratic Corner), an important historical site where we will investigate some of the city's darker tales and its intriguing unsolved mysteries.

The tour will conclude at 11:30 am in Praça Alfândega.
