Snowshoes have been used by the Lappish population for centuries. This method of traversing the snow has gained popularity as a great sport to enjoy in Rovaniemi. Are you ready to try it?

You will be picked up from your hotel in Rovaniemi at the selected time and embark on a 20-minute drive to reach the snow trekking location. Once equipped, the trek among pine and fir trees will begin. Following the guide, you will experience the tranquility of the snowy landscape while inhaling some of the purest air in the world.

When the cold sets in, a stop will be made to start a bonfire. Here, you will have the opportunity to warm up with a hot drink and enjoy some sausages and biscuits.

This polar adventure will conclude three hours later back at your hotel in Rovaniemi.

This activity includes pickup from hotels located within a 5 miles (8 km) radius of the center of Rovaniemi. If your hotel is further away, alternative meeting points will be arranged.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will be engaged in a snowshoe trek that lasts approximately three hours, including the warm-up break. The process is straightforward: after pickup from your accommodation, you will be driven to the trekking area, equipped with snowshoes, and guided through the snowy terrain.
