Embark on a day trip to Minca where you will explore the stunning Oído del Mundo waterfall and savor exquisite tastings of local coffee, cacao, and chocolate. This is an exceptional experience commencing from Santa Marta!

Day Trip Overview

At the designated time, we will collect you from your accommodation in Santa Marta and begin our journey to Minca, a picturesque town nestled at the base of the Sierra Nevada. The travel time is approximately 90 minutes.

Upon arrival, we’ll embark on an adventure in an off-road SUV, traversing the lush tropical rainforest along various unpaved routes. We will then proceed with a 15-minute hike along natural trails that gently slope through the landscape.

As we continue, we’ll cross quaint streams to reach a small, traditional, family-operated farm, where you’ll gain insights into the process of coffee cultivation, including drying and roasting. Here, you’ll also enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

Next, we’ll hike for another 25 minutes until we arrive at the Oído del Mundo waterfall, an esteemed location for the indigenous peoples of the Sierra Nevada, where you can take a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.

Following your swim, we will resume our trek for 45 minutes towards the Casa Jocolate restaurant, where a delightful homemade lunch awaits, offering vegetarian and vegan options. This location also boasts a panoramic viewpoint with breathtaking vistas of Santa Marta, providing a wonderful opportunity for scenic photographs!

After the meal, you will engage in an organic cacao workshop that features sensory experiences surrounding local chocolate. This session includes tastings of rich artisanal cacao, a chocolate face mask experience, and the chance to craft your very own chocolate bar among various activities, all set in a serene natural environment.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Santa Marta, concluding this enriching 9-hour experience.
