Itinerary or Development

Initially, we will walk approximately 3 kilometers towards the fort. What made these fortifications crucial for Santoña? Throughout the tour, we will share intriguing insights about the unique geographical characteristics of this Cantabrian town.

Upon reaching the fort, we will delve into its significant location and its role in safeguarding access to the bay. Were you aware that Santoña earned the title of Gibraltar of the North? This site was instrumental during the 17th and 18th centuries, influencing naval operations and interests.

Following our fort visit, we will embark on a one-hour boat excursion to the Caballo Lighthouse. Perched on a hill, it offers stunning views of Santoña and the Bay of Biscay. Constructed in 1863, it's an ideal backdrop for memorable photographs!

After a total duration of two and a half hours, we will conclude our adventure at the port of Santoña.
