Description
We'll leave Sao Paulo at the indicated time and after a 2-hour journey, we will reach Campos do Jordão, located 5577 feet (1,700 metres) above sea level. This town is a popular winter destination and attracts visitors year-round seeking mountain activities. Upon arrival, we will explore the town's emblematic locations, including the Boa Vista Palace, the current residence of the state governor, and learn about its history.
We'll visit the Vila Inglesa and Alto Capivari neighborhoods, and the Ducha de Prata (Silver Fall), a waterfall in the town featuring a craft market. As we navigate this picturesque town surrounded by alpine scenery, you'll appreciate its resemblance to Switzerland.
In the Vila Capivari neighborhood, you will have some free time to explore, enjoy a funicular train ride, shop for souvenirs, and have lunch. We will stop at a chocolate factory on the return to Sao Paulo, where you can purchase local chocolates, regional wines, cheese, and other sweets. We will arrive back in Sao Paulo between 6 and 7 pm.
