Angkor Wat Temples Tour Itinerary

Meet up at The Blanc Residence and head north to begin your tour of the ancient city of Angkor, the Khmer capital from the 9th to the 15th century.

Your guided tour of Angkor Wat will start with the most famous temple of Cambodia, built in the early 12th century and still a place of worship. Learn about its history as a UNESCO World Heritage Site from 1992 while observing Buddhist monks at prayer.

Next, visit Bayon, noted for its bas-reliefs of smiling faces, and then Ta Prohm, a monastery reclaimed by nature, known for its crumbling stone walls intertwined with jungle roots, a scene featured in Tomb Raider.

Take a break at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch to recharge before continuing your tour to Angkor Thom, the largest complex of the ancient Khmer capital, crossing the restored Southern Gate to see more religious sanctuaries, including the Baphuon temple mountain.

On the tour, also visit the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, before exploring Phimeankas, a three-tier pyramid temple within the Royal Palace enclosure.

Return to the meeting point in Siem Reap around 5:30 pm.
