Tuscany Day Trip & Wine Tour

This tour takes you through some of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany, complete with wine tastings. We'll visit Chianti, Pienza, and Montepulciano.

Tour Details

Want to explore the villages of Tuscany and savor its renowned wines? If so, we’ll meet at the indicated time at the Siena - Ferrovia bus stop to begin our adventure—let’s go!

First, we'll pass the winding hills of Chianti, where ancient vineyards and olive trees paint the atemporal landscape of rural Tuscany. Here, we'll visit a local winery to taste three wines, each with a unique character. We'll accompany the wine with freshly baked Tuscan bread and the olive oil from the farm as we tell you about the region's history, traditions, and artisanal practices.

After 1 hour, we'll head to the picturesque Val d'Orcia until we reach Pienza. Known as the "ideal city," Pienza is a Renaissance gem with beautiful streets, houses, and churches. You'll have 1 hour and 20 minutes of free time to explore this charming town and grab lunch.

Next, we'll visit Montepulciano, famous for its Renaissance palaces surrounded by picturesque vineyards. Fun fact: parts of the movie New Moon from the Twilight Saga were filmed here! You'll have 1 hour and 45 minutes to explore the town at your own pace.

Afterward, we'll visit a second winery to uncover the secrets behind Tuscany’s exquisite wines. We'll tour the barrel rooms and enjoy a wine tasting accompanied with regional snacks. Yum!

Finally, our tour will conclude at the starting point, 10 hours after we began.

You will meet the guide at the designated time and location to begin your tour. The itinerary includes visits to renowned wineries for tastings, free time in picturesque villages, and detailed insights into the culinary and cultural heritage of Tuscany.
