Scenic Lake Mclaren Kayak Tour

Enjoy the wonderful calm water of Lake McLaren on this incredible kayaking tour. You'll love this totally peaceful place and you may even spot some birds and other wildlife.

Kayaking Tour

At the specified time, we will meet at 36 Taniwha Place and board a vehicle for a 20-minute ride from Tauranga to the kayaking launch point.

Upon arrival, instructors will provide a safety demonstration and tips for maximizing your experience. We will then begin kayaking.

You will paddle around the lagoon in Northern New Zealand, with views of the Mangapapa Canyon, where the native bush forms a cave-like structure. Remember to bring your camera to capture this landscape.

With a guide, you will head toward the lake's mouth and enter the canyon to see the narrow walls. Throughout the tour, you will also learn about the history of the land.

After 3 hours of kayaking, we will return to the starting point in Tauranga to conclude the tour.
