On this tour to Pedro II, we'll discover the history of this town named after a significant Brazilian emperor, while exploring waterfalls in its suburbs.
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Teresina and proceed to Pedro II in the Serra dos Matões region. The journey by minibus will take approximately 3 hours.
During the day, we will explore the old town and its natural areas. We will stroll through the town center of Pedro II, observing historic houses, ancient squares, and churches, notably the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição. We will explain why this city is named after one of Brazil's most significant emperors.
Next, we will visit the Mirante de São João for picturesque views of the mountain landscape. Following that, we will head to the Mirante do Gritador, located 984 feet (300 meters) high, offering stunning views over the valley.
We will conclude our tour at the archaeological site of Torre II, where you can view cave paintings representing the region's ancient history.
Finally, we will return to the vehicle and head back to the hotels 8 hours after the tour's initial start time.
