Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in Teresina and travel to Pedro II, located in the Serra dos Matões region. The minibus journey will take approximately 3 hours.
During the day, we'll explore the old town of Pedro II and its natural areas. We'll walk through the town center, viewing historic houses, ancient squares, and churches, including the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição. We will explain why this city is named after one of Brazil's significant emperors.
Next, we'll visit the Mirante de São João, an ideal photo opportunity for the mountain landscapes surrounding Pedro II. Then we'll head to the Mirante do Gritador, which is 984 feet (300 meters) tall, offering captivating views of the valley.
We will conclude our tour at the archeological site of Torre II, where you can see cave paintings that represent the region's ancient history.
Finally, we will return to our vehicle and head back to the hotels, approximately 8 hours after the tour's start.
