The Riyadh province is located in the central region of Saudi Arabia and is known for its stunning natural landscapes, including vast deserts and beautiful sand dunes.

After approximately one hour’s drive from the city of Riyadh, we arrive at an area with sandstone hills where we start our hike, exploring a trail that offers glimpses of the past, when people used to rely on groundwater and build fences with rocks to protect their livestock.

After a one-hour drive out of Riyadh, we will visit the most famous ancient carving site of Riyadh Province called Musayqirah (which is also known as Graffiti Rock 1).

We drive for 30 minutes to Ad-Diriyah, located on the western bank of the Wadi Hanifah, a dry riverbed where water flows only after big rains.

We reach the traditional village of Ushaiqer after a two-hour drive. One of the most vibrant examples of Najdi architecture, Ushaiqer is typical of the central plateau of Saudi Arabia.

We proceed into old Riyadh, starting in the downtown area, and visiting the traditional Dirah Souq (famous for buying antique carpets and other useful Saudi heritage antiques).

An exciting drive to the amazing “Edge of the World”, located on the 1000-kilometer-long Tuwaiq escarpment where the viewpoints from the top of the 300-meter-high cliffs are particularly dramatic.
