Helmet diving in the Philippines, your first dive in Rio de Janeiro, or PADI courses in Thailand and Indonesia. Honestly, can you think of a better plan for your next vacation?
What’s down there? What are we going to find? We think we know. Or at least, we imagine it. But there’s always a bit of mystery—an unknown that makes the ocean so fascinating. Water isn’t our natural habitat, and maybe that’s why it draws us in so much, even if it can sometimes trigger fear. Diving brings all of those emotions to the surface. It’s one of those activities that might spark instant love—or a touch of hesitation, depending on how you feel about the underwater world.
At Reserving, we want you to try it and then decide for yourself. And we promise you’ll do it in the safest possible conditions, always under expert supervision. In our adventure and sports section, we’ll show you some of the best places in the world to go diving—and we’ll help you book in advance. Let’s make your next holiday even more exciting, inspiring, and unforgettable.
What is a Discover Scuba Dive (Try Dive)?
Many of the diving experiences we recommend in the UK and around the world will be what’s known as a Discover Scuba Dive or Try Dive. The name gives you a pretty clear idea—but let’s dive a bit deeper (pun intended).
A Discover Scuba Dive is the first hands-on experience with diving. It includes a short theory session, where you’ll learn the basics and get familiar with the equipment, followed by a guided underwater dive—always under the close supervision of a professional instructor. At the end, you receive a certificate of participation. It’s the perfect way to see if diving is something you want to pursue further.

What is PADI?
Another option we offer is to take a PADI course. PADI stands for Professional Association of Diving Instructors, the world’s largest and most respected diving training organization. It operates in 186 countries and territories, with a network of over 6,600 dive centers and resorts, and more than 128,000 certified professionals worldwide. Unlike a Try Dive, the entry-level PADI Open Water Diver course takes several days to complete. It’s a more in-depth training program that certifies you to dive independently anywhere in the world. Now that you know the difference, it’s time to explore some of the top destinations for diving travel. Dive trips are a dream come true for those who fall in love with the sport—and at Reserving, we want to take you to their favorite spots, always at the best prices.
Diving in Spain
If your next trip is to Spain and you’re curious about diving, Reserving has some amazing spots for you to try your first dive. And who knows—this could be the start of your dive travel journey!
For Discover Scuba Dives, we recommend locations like Jávea (Alicante), l’Ametlla de Mar (Tarragona), Cabo Tiñoso (Cartagena), or the Montgrí Natural Park (Girona). These are beautiful coastal areas with clear waters and experienced instructors—perfect for beginners.
If you’re ready to go further and take your PADI Open Water certification, we suggest places like Cambrils (Tarragona) or Almuñécar (Granada). If your travel plans include one of these destinations, check our website for full details and pricing. And of course, we also offer top hotel options nearby—so you can enjoy a seamless, worry-free experience.

Diving Around the World
Once you’ve explored Spain’s underwater world, it’s time to look beyond—and discover the best dive sites across the globe. We won’t list them all (impossible!), but trust us: these are truly special places. Let’s start big: helmet diving in the Philippines, where you’ll walk on the seafloor about 10 feet below the surface wearing a glass-paneled helmet. Next up is a Discover Scuba Dive in Puerto López, Ecuador. More beginner-friendly options? How about a Try Dive in Cancún, Mexico, or in the tropical waters of Armação dos Búzios, near Rio de Janeiro? And if you’re ready to take a full PADI course, you’ve got fantastic options in Klungkung (Indonesia), Ko Pha-Ngan (Thailand), and San Bartolo (Peru). The world is full of incredible diving adventures—and Reserving is here to help you plan every detail. Get ready for a journey like no other, with the best prices and total peace of mind from start to finish.
